I wonder if there’s a simple reason why this is not a standard feature? Perhaps because people could pick the lock and bypass the alarm? But does that matter?

I bought a house with a pre-existing alarm system. It works well and I had it hooked up with ADT. The only problem is that false alarms were fast and furious as I have lots of people that stay at my house. They couldn’t remember the code or blanked on which buttons to push in which order (ADT systems are anything but intuitive). This is a long way of saying I wish that the system was foolproof for turning on/off at the lock. Put the key in and turn it and the alarm goes off.
